The VI edition of the SME of the year awards was held in Bilbao on 18 July. These awards recognise essential aspects of the contribution to society and the economy of SMEs, which make up 99.8% of the business fabric.
The prizes, awarded by Banco Santander and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the el Correo , received more than 86 nominations. BIOLAN has been awarded the SME of the year award in Bizkaia, which recognises the transformation of the ecosystem of the organisation with multiple economic and social facets, where digitalisation and innovation are fundamental pillars of the transformation together with the commitment to the SDGs.
BIOLAN is currently very focused on the biosensors digitisation project, investing a lot of resources in what is a truly disruptive innovation for the company, as it is tackling new technological areas that allow it to further enhance the value of its products.
The digitisation project has involved the creation of a new department, with new hires, where data, connectivity and machine learning begin to coexist with enzymes, molecules, electrons, etc..,
