BIOLAN receives the award at the Royal Palace of El Pardo (Madrid), in a ceremony presided over by Queen Letizia

Awarded in 2024 in the innovative SME category, BIOLAN has kept innovation at the heart of its strategy and business growth throughout its history

The National Innovation and Design Awards are presented by the Ministry of Science, Innovation, and Universities with the aim of recognizing and highlighting companies that have made innovation and design fundamental elements of their strategy.

At the ceremony held yesterday, November 6, the awards for 2024 and 2025 were presented. BIOLAN, represented by Asier Albizu, Founder and CEO, received the 2024 National Innovation Award in the Innovative SME category from Queen Letizia at the Royal Palace of El Pardo.

These prestigious awards recognize excellence in research, development, and technology transfer processes, as well as the contribution of design as a driver of competitiveness and transformation. Today, the awards for both editions, 2024 and 2025, were presented, underscoring the institutional commitment to promoting talent, design, transformation, and innovation.

BIOLAN continues to promote innovation, digitalization, and sustainability as strategic pillars, both in its products and throughout its organization. The company has developed an ambitious project that combines innovation and technology to transform both the food quality and safety sector and human health diagnostics, offering comprehensive analytical solutions based on cloud-connected biosensors that combine disparate technologies such as biotechnology, electrochemistry, AI, machine learning, etc.

Also as part of the awards ceremony, on Wednesday, November 5, the Minister of Science, Innovation, and Universities, Diana Morant, welcomed the award winners and companies to the Royal Botanical Garden in Madrid, giving BIOLAN the opportunity to meet and share experiences with other leaders in innovation in a space for debate and reflection.
