The second edition of the FoodTech Innovation Awards, which recognize the promotion of innovation and digitalisation in the food industry sector, was held in Bilbao on 19 May. The awards, held within the framework of Food4Future, received more than 145 entries from innovative projects in the different categories of the event. BIOLAN was a finalist in the Agrobank Award, which recognizes the most innovative digitalisation solution, for its new generation of digitalised analysis equipment connected to the BIOLANglobal digital platform, the result of its own technological development.
BIOLANglobal is a tool that helps companies to securely store and manage their analytical information. It allows global tracking of food monitoring processes in real time through customised alerts. In addition, it optimises analysis processes through advanced data visualisation for better and faster decision making. The platform is available in two versions, on the one hand, the one that offers the basic and necessary functionalities for the daily control of the analysis, and on the other hand BIOLANglobal Premium, designed for optimal user control that includes unlimited data download, customised reports and traceability and integration with information systems.
The awards ceremony brought together leading companies in the sector, associations and was attended by prominent authorities and institutional representatives. In this second edition of the FoodTech Innovation Awards, other prizes were also awarded, such as the ICEX Spanish startup with international projection Award, the BASF Award for the best sustainability project, the AZTI Award for healthy food, the Tech Transfer Agrifood Award for the most innovative foodtech startup, and the Ibermática Award for the best automation and robotics solution.
Food4Future is currently the forum par excellence for discovering the latest innovations and trends that are driving the transformation of the food industry, such as 4.0 technologies, robotics, automation and processing techniques. It aims to be the place to unveil the latest innovations in the sector, such as the concern for healthy eating, sustainable and efficient food production and the fight against climate change.
