The AOAC International has included BIOLAN’s BIOMILK 3000 LACTOSE method for lactose quantification as official method 2020.09 under its demanding OMA, Official Methods of Analysis programme.
After years of tests and comparative studies against other technologies and methodologies, the satisfactory results have demonstrated the value of the BIOMILK method and now allow BIOLAN, a company with less than 15 years of existence, to make history by including its own method, developed in the company, in the most prestigious list of chemical and microbiological methods in the world.
The BIOMILK 3000 LAC method is capable of quantifying lactose in lactose-free and low-lactose dairy products at concentrations of less than 100 mg/l, with high accuracy and speed in a wide range of matrices, both liquid and solid, making it a reference method for the production and control of lactose-free dairy products by the industry.
The methodology is further reinforced by the fact that it works with BIO 3000 equipment, belonging to the latest family of BIOLAN biosensors on the market, equipped with connectivity and an interface designed to make the analytical act a friendly and intuitive process.
The integration of digitised tools in industrial processes opens up a whole new world of possibilities, previously not considered, in terms of data generation, exploitation and understanding. The possibilities are enormous and that is where BIOLAN wants to be, accompanying its customers closely to continue creating value.
The success that comes with recognition is accompanied by a great responsibility, shared by all BIOLAN’s staff, who know that this is not the end of the road, and that maintaining quality is just as costly as achieving it.
