In this special year marked by the COVID-19, the first Digitaltek forum was held, organised by El Correo and BBVA as the main sponsors, event that has been the biggest meeting point for the most cutting-edge Basque companies and initiatives in the field of digital transformation.

The main objective of this meeting was to recognise the efforts of Basque companies in digital transformation and the implementation of new technologies.

The awards were given in 4 categories: E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, with a special mention as \”Digital Company of the Year\”, which went to BIOLAN, thus highlighting its commitment to digital transformation and its integration in all aspects of its activity.

Currently BIOLAN is focused on the biosensors digitalization project, investing a lot of resources in what is a real disruptive innovation for the company, as it tackles new technological areas that allow it to value its products even more.

The digitisation project has meant the creation of a new department, where data, connectivity, machine learning begin to coexist with enzymes, molecules, electrons, etc., all of this, without ceasing to work on new technologies related to biosensors, and on developing new applications of interest to the sector.
