As in previous editions of the pandemic, this year BIOLAN also participated in the Seafood Expo Global, the world’s most important seafood fair. The event was held from 26 to 28 April at the Gran Vía of Fira exhibition centre in Barcelona. Coming from Brussels, where it has been held for 27 years, this year 2022 has been held for the first time in Barcelona, marking the return to presence, bringing together industrialists, buyers and sellers of seafood products for three days, to establish contacts and business relationships and find new products in the sector.
The Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global, is considered one of the world’s largest and most important seafood exhibitions, bringing together seafood industry professionals and buyers from all corners of the supply chain. It offers a wide variety of seafood products and equipment and services at your fingertips, such as fresh, frozen and packaged seafood, fishing industry services, processing and packaging equipment, logistic services, etc.
This year, BIOLAN has presented major advances and new developments compared to previous years with the new generation of measuring equipment, BIOFISH 3000 and BIOFISH 7000, equipped with connectivity to provide comprehensive monitoring of the analytical process, from advanced visualisation of results and storage in the cloud, to product traceability throughout the value chain. In addition, BIOLAN has added an innovative solution to its portfolio aimed at the fisheries sector, such as the biosensor for the objective determination of the degree of Yake in tuna, which has also been unveiled at this year’s fair for the first time. All this has caused great excitement among visitors to the BIOLAN booth, especially the interest generated by the portability, connectivity and ease of use offered by our new biosensor BIOFISH 7000.
The Seafood Expo Global 2022 is a must-attend event for professionals in the sector, both for the latest news and innovations in the sector and for the important business relationships and contacts that can be established at this meeting. This year, more than 2,000 exhibiting companies and suppliers from 89 different countries took part.
