From 12 to 14 November, the INFOFISH World Shrimp Trade Conference and Exposition, SHRIMP 2019, was held in Bangkok (Thailand), organized by INFOFISH, the Thai Department of Fisheries, the Thai Shrimp Association, NACA (Asia Pacific Aquaculture Centres Network), CAP-PMA (Chinese Alliance of Aquaculture Processors and Traders) and with the collaboration of INFOPESCA.

This international conference on shrimp, under the slogan \”Modelling for Sustainability\”, focused on the sustainability of the production industry, debating the present and future of production and marketing in the world, access to markets and product diversification, quality assurance, certification and traceability and technological innovation applied to the sector.

BIOLAN, in addition to participate in the exhibition area with its own stand, had the opportunity to give a lecture by Antonio Bustamante, head of BIOLAN South East Asia, under the title \”SO2 Safe and Collecting Data – Ensuring Crustaceans Free of SO2, Traceability of the Quality in the Farms and Processing Plants\”. BIOLAN showed the participants the applications of its own technology, based on biosensors and marketed in the BIOFISH product line, to monitor parameters of interest in the shrimp industry, ensuring higher quality and food safety.
