The second edition of the course \”Health and Welfare Engineering Industry\”, a project for employment and entrepreneurship in biomedical engineering, launched by the Official College of Graduates in Engineering and Industrial Technical Engineers of Bizkaia (Ingenieros BIZKAIA), with funding from the Department of Employment, Social Inclusion and Equality of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, was presented last Monday 18 February.
This project is the result of years of collaboration between Industrial Technical Engineering and Medical Services to generate products and services that improve the quality or efficiency of medicine, since many of the needs that health entities have and will have can be resolved through projects developed by engineers from the industrial branch and engineering graduates, specialized in the field.
Asier Albizu participated in this presentation on behalf of BIOLAN and OSASEN, together with academic and sectorial institutional representatives, such as Teresa Laespada, Foral Deputy of Employment, Social Inclusion and Equality of the Foral Deputation of Bizkaia; Nadia Maestro, Director of Aldalan; Arantza Burgos, Joseba Sainz de Murieta and Javier Ortiz, professors of the Bioelectronics Classroom of the School of Engineering of Bilbao; Manuel Sánchez Moronta ex-director and one of the founders of the Bioelectronics classroom of the School of Industrial Technical Engineering and current Vice-Secretary of the College and Almudena Aguirre Technical Secretary of the College of Engineers BIZKAIA; Maria Pascual de Zulueta, Director of the Basque Health Cluster,Javier González Lodoso, Market Director in the Health Division of Tecnalia; and Juan Carlos Santamaría, Director of Communication and Business Development of Inithealth.
