BIOLAN not only participated actively in the 2019 edition of THAIFEX-World of Food Asia, with its own stand and giving a lecture on innovation in biosensors, but also obtained the THAIFEXtaste Innovation Award in its BIOFISH biosensors for the determination of histamine and sulphite in fish and crustaceans.

THAIFEX, held from 28 May to 1 June 2019 in Bangkok (Thailand), is considered the most important food and beverage fair in Asia, and the perfect platform to explore the potential of the Asian and Indo-China markets. Each year, it attracts thousands of exhibitors and visitors from all over the world, having reached in 2019, 2,537 and 62,039 respectively. THAIFEX brings together 11 areas of the food and beverage sector, including THAIFEX Seafood, in which BIOLAN participated with its own stand presenting the BIOFISH product line.

In addition, on 30 May, Antonio Bustamante, head of BIOLAN South East Asia, gave a lecture at the Thailand Food Innovation Forum – Innofood Asia Conference entitled \”Innovation in Biotesting: Identifying risks and allergens in your food products\”. Innofood Asia Conference explores the collaboration between technology, food and design by bringing together key decision makers and innovators in the industry. Therefore, BIOLAN has taken the opportunity to share in this forum its commitment to the application of digital technologies and big data, to improve the traceability of food safety and implement it throughout the food value chain.

The result, therefore, of BIOLAN’s participation in this edition of THAIFEX, has been very satisfactory, with a resounding success in all the activities carried out, which will surely reinforce the expansion of BIOLAN in Southeast Asia.
