Yesterday, 21 November, BIOLAN received the visit from the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez and the Minister of Science and Innovation, Diana Morant, with the Government Delegate in the Basque Country, Denis Itxaso, in the facilities that the Basque companies have in Zamudio, in the Bizkaia Technology Park.
The visit provided an opportunity to show them BIOLAN’s facilities and capabilities in the areas of health and food, as well as to meet the team of professionals who make it possible for the company to tackle everything from research and development of innovative products to specialised manufacturing and marketing, reducing dependence on third parties as much as possible.
The occasion also provided an opportunity to share the collaborative initiative of the “Km 0” health sector, OSASUNBERRI, in which 27 entities participate, including up to 17 companies, 5 hospitals, 3 scientific and technological centres and two sectorial associations, and which is coordinated by BIOLAN. OSASUNBERRI is a project that has enormous potential to fit in with the regulatory development of the PERTE for Vanguard Health, recently presented by the Spanish Government.
The Director General of BIOLAN, Asier Albizu, wanted to highlight the commitment to innovation, digital transformation and environmental sustainability of both BIOLAN and the OSASUNBERRI project, the same strategic axes that are pursued in the European Next Generation funds, and consequently also in the PERTE, Strategic Projects for Economic Recovery and Transformation.
