Excellent participation of the shrimp and canning industry in the presentation of the validation studies of BIOFISH 300 by INP Ecuador and BIOLAN
Last 3rd and 4th of October, in Guayaquil and Manta respectively, the National Fisheries Institute of Ecuador and BIOLAN Microbiosensores presented to the shrimp and canning industries, a comparative study between the traditional methods and BIOLAN´s BIOFISH 300 for the quantification of sulphite in shrimp and histamine in fish.

Both conferences counted with the participation of relevant players of both industries, gathering more than 70 people who showed a clear interest in the results of these laboratory studies carried out by the INP Engineers. These results validate the accuracy, repeatability, speed and simplicity of the BIOLAN methodology and confirm its advantages in comparison with the current methods used in the shrimp and canning industries of Ecuador.

Participants were able to experience firsthand, the innovative and advanced technological tools for the determination and quantification of quality and food safety parameters. In addition to the BIOFISH 300, BIOLAN introduced its latest development, the BIOFISH 700, a portable and pocket Biosensor, which quantifies histamine or sulphite in just one minute and without calibration.
