New European Commission support for BIOLAN Innovation through the approval of a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action
PhD. Joana Gangoiti, senior researcher with recognized scientific experience in the field of enzyme technology, has recently joined BIOLAN thanks to the approval of a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Action. Her stay at BIOLAN will allow the application of innovative strategies in the development of enzymes for use in biosensory.
As part of the activities to start her stay in BIOLAN, the researcher has participated in the MSCA Society & Enterprise Individual Fellowships, held on 4 and 5 J
uly in Brussels, sharing experiences with other Marie Curie researchers and being advised by representatives of the European Commission and other experts to get the most out of her scholarship and start her new professional stage in the industrial sector. During the workshop, she also presented the poster entitled \”Improvement of food safety applied biosensors\” about the project to be developed during her stay at BIOLAN.

The Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions included in the European Commission’s H2020 Program, aims to ensure the optimal development and dynamic use of Europe’s intellectual capital in order to generate new capacities and innovation and consequently to develop their full potential in all sectors and regions.

The action approved to BIOLAN belongs to the \”Society and Enterprise\” Panel (EF-SE) that boost intersectorial mobility, supporting the execution of research projects in private / non-academic sector entities. This is a very competitive program in which BIOLAN has successfully defended its proposal.
