The Peruvian Ministry of Production has authorised the use of our BIOFISH 7000 TVBN solution as a method for assessing Fish Freshness during fish landing and product reception processes.
Developed by BIOLAN, this innovative system uses biosensor technology to measure Total Volatile Basic Nitrogen (TVB-N), one of the most widely recognised Freshness Indicators for evaluating the quality of Fishery Products. Following an assessment of BIOLAN’s technology, SANIPES, the Competent Authority operating under the Peruvian Ministry of Production, has authorised the use of these biosensors for TVB-N analysis in internal control procedures and rapid monitoring activities.
This decision represents a significant endorsement of the work carried out by the BIOLAN team, focused on providing an accurate, reliable and easy-to-use measurement method for the fisheries industry. The system is based on amperometric enzymatic biosensors that enable the determination of TVB-N, representing an important innovation in Raw Material Quality control by providing objective, rapid and accurate measurements during fish landing operations.
BIOFISH TVBN was developed in-house by the BIOLAN team in close collaboration with the fishing industry to respond to its real operational needs. Officially launched to international markets on 21 May, the system offers several key operational advantages, including a significant reduction in analysis time, delivering results in less than one minute, ease of use and objective results.
